Synopsis

This assembly reflects on war in general, with a particular focus on the tragedies of World Wars 1 and 2. Students explore the consequences of war and the sacrifices made. The presentation also encourages students to consider the current day structure of UK defence, and to understand that the Armed Forces are present to defend as a force for good in the world. The role of defence diplomacy and conflict resolution is explored.
