Synopsis

This lesson provides a comprehensive insight into the role of women during the Second World War. Students are encouraged to explore why there was a need for women to assist in the war effort and to investigate the various ways in which women contributed. The lesson also provides an opportunity for students to look at the impact women's work had on the overall war effort. This lesson is supported by a range of stimulating materials.
