Development, trade and aid

British Armed Forces - trade and aid

Synopsis

This lesson examines the different ways in which countries can improve their standard of living and level of development and the different models which can be used to measure development. It examines the role which can be played by trade and aid in stimulating development and invites students to consider the short and long term aid provided by the British Government. Finally students look at specific examples of the Ministry of Defence's (MOD) role in supporting British trade and aid policies in LEDCs.
